Important information resources for planning your studies
Program and examination regulations
Before you dive into planning your studies, you should get an overview of the framework of studying and obtain the department regulations for the respective program.
These guidelines describe the structure of the program, the requirements for registering for exams, the type and amount of credits and examinations to acquire as well as all other examination modalities.
Examination regulations are usually not a light read. If anything is unclear to you, you should consult with the responsible student office at the department, the center for teacher training (ZfL), the department administrations or the Central Student Counseling Service.
The TUD course catalog published every semester is absolutely essential for planning your studies. It contains all courses that are offered in a semester, the names of professors and lecturers, the rooms and the dates. The course catalog can also be found on the web page:
Personnel and degree course scheme directory
The personnel and degree course scheme directory contains general information concerning the departments and programs. It is published every year at the start of the winter semester.
